This equipment is mainly used for the thickening of the mine and metallurgical materials. The dilute slurry is thickened through the fine material dead weight and with the addition of the flocculant. In the highefficiency thickener, the solid concentration (dewatering) process consists of 4 zones: clear water zone, aggregation and settling zone or free settling zone, hindered settling zone and compression zone. The equipment is characterized by small floor area , large throughput (the specific throughput is 7~10 times of the conventional thickener) with  overflow solid content <0.0175%，underflow solid content 45%52%，flocculant consumption of 34g/t130g/t.
