The project is to produce 60kt/a Zn ingot, 80t/a In ingo. The In system was put into production in 1997, while the Zn system was in 1999. In order to process the high InZn concentrates and improve the recovery, the process of Zn smelting by “hot acid leaching—FeV method” and Inextraction is applied. The system was designed to produce 100kt/a Zn ingot and hematite residue with 60% Fe content by hematite Fe removal process, realizing residuefree in Zn smelting and recycling of Fe residue.
