Zhang Wei, the deputy chief engineer, professor senior engineer, was graduated in 1982 from Kunming Institute of Technology (now renamed Kunming University of Science and Technology), majored in mining engineering, and received a doctor’s degree in geotechnical engineering
from Central South University in 2008.
He has designed a dozen of large and mediumsize mine projects such as Hube Tonglushan Copper Mine, Hubei Lijiawan Copper Mine, Zhejiang Tiantai AgPbZn Mine, Guangxi Pingguo Bauxite Mine (Phase I) and Limestone Mine (Phase I). He has been involved as the project supervisor in over 10 large and mediumsize projects such as Yunnan Chuda and Dabao Expressway, Hunan Hengzao Expressway, Changsha Waste Disposal Site and Transfer Station, Changsha Ferris Wheel and Orange Isle Construction, and has completed EPC projects such as Guangxi Pingguo Mine (Phase I), Guangxi Huayin Bauxite Mine, Guizhou Zunyi and Maochang Bauxite Mine. He has won second prize of Hunan province science and technology progress for mountain highway tunnel seepage theory and control technology research as the principal researcher.
